Transitions  (Canada) (99.241.79.63)

Boo, scary! Transition from school to the real world (post-21) can be scary if you are not prepared. But its worthwhile sharing all the information that is out there. There is a small group (that would like to become bigger!) working on a transition package for parents of children with DS. If you would like to be part of this group or would like to share the resources that you have gathered please contact me! We will not be into re-inventing the wheel, but will be gathering info and tips for parents and putting them into a package (with the approval and support of the board ... once we've finished the outline and costing) to be given out to parents as soon as their child turn 14. If you are interested email me (Nancy Huggett) at nhuggett@gmail.com

Thanks.

N.
