Christmas Craft Club
A new weekly activity for adults 21+ with Down syndrome has been made possible by a Momentum Grant from the CDSS to the DSANCR.
This event is FREE for adults with Down syndrome!
When: Wednesday September 9th to Wednesday December 9th 2026
Time: From 10am to 3pm, weekly
Where: 363 Lorry Greenberg Drive - Diane Deans Community Centre
Participants will be taught simple craft projects that can then be sold at a Christmas Craft Fair. They will learn about colours, patterns, cutting, painting, sewing, how to work as a team, and about display/pricing for sales.
**Participants must bring their own lunch and drink to each session.**
Para-Transpo support (getting on and off at location) will be available.
The program is still looking for a lead hand. The lead hand will help carry boxes of supplies to and from the room, lead chair yoga/exercise during breaks, and help with Christmas Craft Fair set up/take down.
